1. General information
The external academic internships constitute an activity of a formative nature carried out by the student and supervised by the university, whose objective is to allow them to apply and complement the knowledge acquired in their academic training, favoring the acquisition of competencies that prepare them for the exercise of professional activities, facilitate their employability and foster their capacity for entrepreneurship.
UNIVERSA, Guidance and Employment Service of the University of Zaragoza, http://www.unizar.es/universa/ , is in charge of the administrative steps necessary to establish the link between the student and the entity where the internship will be carried out, as well as the entire administrative process related to the internship.
These approaches and objectives are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations 2030 Agenda ( https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/es/), specifically, the learning activities planned in this subject will contribute to the achievement of Goal 4: Quality Education.
Detailed information about the External Practices course is available at the following link link.
2. Learning results
Apply the theoretical knowledge acquired, putting it into practice in the development of a work outside the educational field, but supervised and directed from it, and linked to the exercise of activity in a professional, public or private environment.
Comply with the commitments acquired with the collaborating entity and with the university in relation to the completion of the internship.
To be able to adequately drafting an Activities Report in which the proposed and achieved objectives are reflected, as well as a detailed description of the activities carried out, explicitly including their contribution to the promotion of sustainable development in any of its aspects, within the framework of the UN Agenda 2030.
Establish the relationship with the qualification of the work performed, taking into account general and specific competencies, as well as skills and attitudes.
Conduct an evaluation of the process and formulate proposals for improvement.
3. Syllabus
Program of activities adapted to the circumstances of the collaborating entity.
4. Academic activities
Working days adapted to the circumstances of the collaborating entity and the student.
Autonomous work of the student.
Mentoring sessions with the company and the academic tutor.
5. Assessment system
At the end of the internship, the Tutor of the collaborating entity shall prepare a report according to a standardized form established by Universa, assessing the student's activity during the internship, and shall send it to Universa, which in turn shall send it to the student's academic tutor at the University . Percentage of final grade: 50%
The Academic Tutor will evaluate the student and the Final Report of the Internship submitted by the student, according to the EPS model . Percentage of final grade: 50%
In the eventthat the student has not completed at least 90% of the established hours at the internship site, an unfavorable final report of the internship will be issued and a "fail" grade will be given. The numerical rating , CF, will be weighted to the number of actual hours in the collaborating entity with a maximum of 4.0 which will correspondto 89% of the total.
Calculation of the Final Rating, CF:
CF = 50% tutor in the entity + 50% academic tutor
If the minimum requirements are not reached in the evaluation activities of the entity part (5 points out of 10) and of the academic part (5 points out of 10), the subject will not be passed, even if the final grade, CF, according to the weighted average is equal to or higher than 5. So, in that case, yes:
CF is >= 4, the final grade will be: Fail, 4.
CF < 4, the final grade will be: Fail, CF.
The success rates for the subject in the last three years are: 2019/20: 100%; 2020/21: 100%; 2021/22: 100%
